America The Beautiful

America is a very diverse country. There are people of all different kinds of religion, race,ethnicity and language. When I watched the Coca Cola commercial, I thought it was very good. I clearly understood the message of America accepting this county with everyone in it. But I was very surprised at the negative comments because I don't understand how some people (mostly white) can't accept other people's background. Janeen's essay was really inforamtive and I liked how she included peoples comments on twitter.

    I agree completely.

    Acceptance and tolerance are two things that are severely lacking in our society, but hopefully we can continue to improve the nation and learn just what it means to be American.

    I agree with you, I also watched the commercial and thought "damn it's about time something like this is done" but mostly everyone viewed it negatively.

    I liked the commercial as well and I would of never thought this many negative comments that people had it was crazy. People are so rude and don't care about how it has an affect on others.

    I disagree with you I actually was not shocked at all. America is a very diverse country but to some they think you are only a American if you are white.
